Product FAQ

20 tons per hour limestone ball mill recommendation

For limestone grinding needs, a continuous ball mill is recommended. Its optimized drum speed and media ratio ensure a stable production capacity of 20 tons/hour. Limestone has a Mohs hardness of 3, so high-chromium alloy steel balls are used as the grinding media. Combined with a stepped liner design, this improves impact crushing efficiency while reducing over-grinding.

Limestone ball mill

Core Parameters

Drum Size: 2.2 meters in diameter and 3.5 meters in length are recommended, ensuring the effective volume meets the required residence time for limestone grinding.

Motor Power: A 132kW motor ensures drum speed remains within the optimal range of 18-22 rpm, balancing energy consumption and grinding performance.

Discharge Control: A combination of pneumatic gates and a screw conveyor allows for precise adjustment of the fineness between 0.074 and 0.89 mm, minimizing the risk of "bulking."

Supporting System Optimization

Classification Device: A dynamic classifier is added to separate qualified fine powder, reducing re-grinding and reducing system energy consumption by 15%. Lubrication System: Utilizing automatic jet lubrication technology, the hollow bearing temperature is kept below 55°C, extending bearing life.
Environmentally friendly design: Equipped with a pulse dust collector, dust emission concentration is below 20mg/m³, complying with new environmental regulations.

Operation and Maintenance Recommendations
Load Monitoring: Install a current sensor to monitor motor load in real time to prevent overfeeding and resulting in "belly bloating."
Liner Replacement: Inspect liner wear every 8,000 hours, preferably using wear-resistant rubber liners to reduce the risk of iron contamination.
