1. Non-metallic mineral processing field
High-purity quartz sand
Ceramic lining can avoid iron pollution and ensure SiO₂ purity>99.9%, which is widely used in the preparation of photovoltaic glass raw materials. After a foreign company adopted a Φ2.4×6m ceramic lining ball mill, the iron impurity content of the product dropped from 120ppm to 15ppm.
Ceramic glaze and special clay
Alumina ceramic lining (Mohs hardness 9) can effectively grind hard raw materials such as feldspar and kaolin, with a fineness of less than 2μm, and avoid the glaze color difference problem caused by traditional metal lining.
2. Metal ore selection link
Rare metal selection
For valuable minerals such as spodumene, tantalum-niobium ore, ceramic lining can reduce over-grinding and increase the recovery rate of -0.074mm particle size by 8%-12%. The actual measured lining life of a lithium mine project reached 18 months, which is 3 times longer than that of manganese steel lining.
Pre-treatment of precious metal leaching
In the gold cyanidation process, the acid and alkali corrosion resistance of ceramic linings (applicable to pH 1-14) significantly reduces the maintenance frequency, saving 4.6 yuan per ton of ore processing costs.
3. Special working conditions
Food-grade calcium carbonate: ZrO₂ ceramic linings that meet FDA certification to ensure that the material has no risk of heavy metal migration
Electronic-grade ceramic powder: When grinding materials such as nano-zirconia, the electrostatic adsorption rate of ceramic linings is only 1/5 of that of metal linings
Technical selection suggestions
It is recommended to select the lining type based on the material's Mohs hardness (preferably <7.5), acidity and alkalinity (optimal cost performance when pH>4) and purity requirements (iron content sensitivity). Al₂O₃ linings are suitable for most non-metallic mines, and ZrO₂ linings are more suitable for high value-added fields.
