Copper ore crushing and flotation process design (2-5th processing capacity)

Copper ore flotation utilizes the differences in physical and chemical properties of the mineral surface. By adding flotation agents (such as collectors, frothers, etc.), the target minerals are attached to the bubbles and float to the surface of the ore pulp, thereby achieving separation from the gangue minerals.


1. Crushing system configuration


Two-stage crushing process

Primary crushing: PE250×400 jaw crusher (feed size ≤210mm, discharge size ≤60mm)

Secondary crushing: PGY800×600 roller crusher (discharge size ≤15mm)

Supporting equipment: GZD650×2300 vibrating feeder + TD75 belt conveyor system


Key technical parameters

Processing capacity: 3-5t/h (adjustable)

Power configuration: total installed capacity ≤45kW

Dust removal system: pulse bag dust collector (handling air volume 3000m³/h)

2. Flotation system design


Core equipment selection

Flotation machine: XJK-0.35 mechanical stirring flotation machine (4 tanks in series)

Reagent preparation: YJB-500 reagent mixing barrel (with metering pump)

Dehydration equipment: GNZ-3 high-efficiency concentrator + 750×750 plate and frame filter press


Process flow

Grinding (-200 mesh accounts for 65%) → Roughing (butyl xanthate 60g/t) → Scavenging (2 times) → Concentration (3 times)

→ Concentration and dehydration (final copper concentrate water content ≤18%)


Operation indicators

Ore grade: 0.8-1.2%Cu

Concentrate grade: ≥18%Cu

Recovery rate: 85-90%

Power consumption: ≤35kWh/t


3. Environmental protection and safety measures

Fully enclosed design of crushing workshop + sound insulation cotton (noise ≤75dB)

Tailings water circulation system (reuse rate ≥85%)

Flotation reagent automatic filling system (error ±2%)
