Basic structure and characteristics of grid ball mill

Recently, there are many customers who choose to buy grid ball mills in the industry market. In order to help everyone understand the basic structure and characteristics of the grid ball mill, Yingkuang has made a detailed description of the structural characteristics of the grid ball mill. Let's share it together in this article.

The grid ball mill is mainly composed of six parts: the cylinder, the ore feeding part, the ore discharging part, the transmission part, the bearing part and the lubrication system, among which the cylinder is the key component of the grid ball mill. Generally, the cylinder is welded by thick steel plates, and flanges are welded at both ends, which are connected to the end cover of the mill respectively. There are 1-2 individual holes on the cylinder, which are convenient for replacing the liner and inspection. Its shape is mostly elliptical and rectangular. The inner wall of the cylinder is equipped with a wear-resistant liner to lift the steel ball and protect the cylinder. The rubber liner has outstanding characteristics such as long service life, low production cost, light weight, short installation time, safe replacement and low noise, and has been widely used.

Grate ball mill

The application of the grid ball mill is very extensive. It can be used to grind various ores and other materials. It is currently widely used in various sectors of the national economy such as ore dressing, construction and chemical industry. The production capacity of the grid ball mill is about 20-30% higher than that of the overflow ball mill of the same specification. Its discharge end is equipped with a grid plate, which has a forced discharge effect and accelerates the speed of the discharge slurry, so that the ore over-crushing phenomenon is less than that of the overflow ball mill.

At present, the structure of various types of grid ball mills is basically the same. The cylinder of the ball mill is rolled and welded with a steel plate about 18 to 36 mm thick. Its two ends are welded with cast steel flanges. The cylinder is equipped with a liner made of manganese steel, chrome steel, wear-resistant cast iron or rubber. Among them, high manganese steel is widely used. The liner is about 50 to 130 mm thick, with a gap of 10 to 14 mm between the cylinder shell. It is covered with plywood, asbestos pads, or plastic poles or rubber to reduce the impact of steel balls on the cylinder.

These are the basic components and features of the grate ball mill. If you want to know more about the various characteristics of the ball mill products, please feel free to consult and purchase!
