Performance and Applications of the 1530 Grid Ball Mill

The 1530 Grid Ball Mill is a versatile grinding device featuring a cylinder diameter of 1.5 meters and a length of 3 meters. Renowned for its rational structural design and stable operation, it plays a pivotal role across numerous industrial sectors. Its core strengths lie in its forced discharge mechanism and high-efficiency grinding performance, enabling it to effectively meet the pulverization requirements of a diverse range of materials.

The most distinctive operational feature of this equipment is the installation of a grid plate at the discharge end; this mechanism facilitates the rapid, forced discharge of mineral slurry, thereby preventing the material from being over-ground. The relatively low slurry level maintained within the cylinder not only mitigates the risk of ore over-milling but also prevents grinding balls from being carried out along with the slurry flow, thereby enhancing grinding efficiency. The device utilizes a rolling bearing design, characterized by low starting resistance and reduced energy consumption; furthermore, its integrated frame structure facilitates ease of installation and maintenance. With an effective volume of approximately 5.3 cubic meters, the mill accommodates a maximum ball charge of up to 7.5 tons. It is powered by a 75 kW motor operating at a rotational speed of approximately 29.7 revolutions per minute, offering a processing capacity ranging from 2 to 5 tons per hour, with a controllable discharge particle size within the range of 0.074 to 0.4 millimeters.

In terms of application, this equipment is widely utilized for the pulverization of both metallic and non-metallic ores—including gold, iron, and copper ores, as well as quartz. Additionally, it is well-suited for clinker grinding in cement production, the processing of chemical raw materials, the preparation of refractory materials within the construction sector, and the production of desulfurizing agents for power plants. Whether employed in wet or dry grinding operations, the mill delivers high-efficiency pulverization results and is particularly well-suited for the primary coarse grinding stage. Boasting excellent sealing capabilities, the unit can be operated under negative pressure conditions, effectively controlling dust emissions and ensuring compliance with modern industrial environmental protection standards.

Leveraging its inherent advantages—including a simple structural design, reliable operation, and convenient maintenance—the 1530 Grid Ball Mill has established itself as an indispensable piece of key equipment in small-to-medium-scale mineral processing plants and various fundamental industrial production settings.
