Process flow of rod mill sand making machine: rod mills mostly use wet sand making method. The materials are mainly crushed by grinding and impact of steel rods, and the discharge method also chooses two methods: grid type and overflow type.
Advantages:
1. The product has regular and good particle size distribution characteristics. As long as the fineness modulus is certain, its particle size distribution is generally consistent, and is not greatly affected by factors such as the lithology of the raw materials, slurry concentration, mill speed, and rod loading.
2. The fineness modulus of the sand can be controlled within ±0.2 by adjusting the feed rate. The operation is simple and the discharge is uniform and fine.
3. The equipment is relatively cheap, with low investment cost and low energy consumption.
Disadvantages:
1. The speed of the rod mill is slow, the overall production efficiency is low, the output per hour is less than 180 tons, and the speed and the wear of the liner will affect the production efficiency.
2. The production noise is large, the floor space is large, the feed requirements are high, and the early configuration of medium and fine crushing equipment is required.

Process flow: Driven by the impeller, the high-speed rotating materials collide and grind each other for crushing, and the materials thrown out from the impeller will hit the impact plate to complete the re-crushing. This process is also called stone hitting iron; the materials after the collision return to the crushing chamber and are crushed by grinding between the materials. This not only has high production efficiency, but also reduces the wear of the liner.
Advantages:
1. High production efficiency, up to 650 tons per hour, excellent finished product shape, better selling price.
2. The material is crushed by grinding between stones, which causes less wear on the equipment.
3. Suitable for medium and high hardness materials, with a wider range of applications and high wear resistance, and can also be used to process other materials in the later stage.
